English Literature on the Web: A list of Internet sites pertaining to British authors, e-text, archives, medieval period, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
The Internet Public Library Online Literary Criticism Collection: The IPL Literary Criticism Collection contains critical and biographical websites about authors and their works that can be browsed by author, by title, or by nationality and literary period.
PAL: Perspectives in American Literature: A Research and Reference Guide: Biographies of American authors, journal citations to critical articles, etc. The printed version of PAL is available for a nominal fee, but the Web version is free.
