American Art Therapy Association: An organization of professionals dedicated to the belief that the creative process involved in art making is healing and life enhancing. Provides standards of professional competence, and develops and promotes knowledge in, and of, the field of art therapy.

American Counseling Association: The American Counseling Association is a not-for-profit, professional and educational organization that is dedicated to the growth and enhancement of the counseling profession.

American Music Therapy Association: The mission of the American Music Therapy Association is to advance public awareness of the benefits of music therapy and increase access to quality music therapy services in a rapidly changing world.

American Psychological Association: One of the best sources for psychology association and professional news, information on research, books, education, conventions, and employment. Current and some past table of contents of all of the APA journals are available. Also included are "Manuscript Submission Information" for each APA journal. The full text of some newsletters are available.

American School Counselor Association: The mission of ASCA is to represent professional school counselors and to promote professionalism and ethical practices. This link connects to the ethical standards for school counselors.

America's Career Resource Network: ACRN consists of state and federal organizations that provide information, resources and training on career and education exploration. The network's national activities are funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

Association for Death Education and Counseling: An international, professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence in death education, care of the dying, and bereavement counseling and support. Based on quality research and theory, the Association provides information, support, and resources to its multicultural, multidisciplinary membership, and, through it, to the public.

Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs: CACREP was created in 1981 to be the independent accrediting arm for the American Counseling Association, a membership organization for over 50,000 practicing counselors.  From its inception, CACREP has provided an effective measure of quality assurance for counselor preparation programs.

National Career Development Association: NCDA is a division of the American Counseling Association (ACA). The mission of NCDA is to promote the career development of all people over the life span.
