How to Renew Books
Books are loaned to students, faculty and staff according to specified loan periods. To renew a book

- Use the self-renewal feature within CENTRA, the library's catalog
Costs & Time to Delivery
Document Delivery service is funded by CMU and we pay to ship books and photocopies of articles to you. The only extra costs are overdue fines and return shipping and insurance on books. We will send instructions on how to return books along with the book shipment - we do not need the article photocopies returned to us.
Requests for materials are normally processed within 24 - 48 hours of receipt.
- If your material is available in the library, we will respond by sending it to you.
- If your article is not available in the CMU library collection, we can try to get it from another library through interlibrary loan. If your
not needed after date (i.e. receiving the item after this date will be too late) is more than 4 weeks away, we will automatically try interlibrary loan. If your not needed after date is less than 4 weeks, we will ask you if you want us to try interlibrary loan.
