Guidelines for Manuscripts
There will be one edition of the proceedings published in conjunction with the Off-Campus Library Services Conference. This edition will be prepared from your document composed in Microsoft Office 2000 Word or later versions. If another word processing package is used save your file as a text (.txt) file. When preparing your manuscript, please observe the following guidelines for consistency in format.
Style/Format
All manuscripts should be composed according to the organization and style presented in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th ed.) (2001) and for electronic sources the APA website at http://www.apastyle.org/elecref.html
Additional requirements:
All margins should be one and a half inches on the left, one inch top, bottom and right on every page.
- Use a 10 pt., Times New Roman font.
- Single space within paragraphs; double space between paragraphs.
- Do not right justify the right side of text.
- Do not number pages.
- Do not use a running head.
- All verbatim comments included in the text and appendices (if any) should be spelled correctly and make use of proper grammar.
- Title, author(s), and affiliation(s) must be included at the top of the first text page as shown on the accompanying example. IMPORTANT: The exact spelling and order of name(s) and affiliation(s) that appear on the paper will be used in the official conference program with no exceptions or changes after submission and should be identical with the author’s agreement.
- A one-paragraph abstract should follow the title, author(s) and affiliation(s). Space the abstract two and one-half inches on the left and two inches on the right; right justify the abstract only. The abstract should be limited to 50-150 words. This same paragraph appears on the author’s agreement. Poster session abstracts should follow the above guidelines.
- All tables and appendixes must be formatted to the margin widths specified above.
- All tables, graphs, and charts should be in the proper APA format and included as separate image files, so that the editors can place them where most appropriate in the text.
- Download a PDF sample title page.
Length
Minimum length is 5-10 pages excluding appendices.
