FORMAT
The program offers Marshall Keys as featured speaker, thirty-three concurrent paper sessions, seven electronic poster sessions, three workshops, several discussion groups, an opportunity to meet members of the Distance Learning Section of ACRL and a panel discussion about copyright. New at this conference will be a presentation by the Off-Campus Library Services award winner, Dan Lawrence. Opportunities are provided for informal networking among participants. The program reflects geographic, philosophic, and programmatic diversity in off-campus programs. Conference proceedings and a detailed program will be distributed to all registrants.
The conference is organized around these five topic tracks for convenience and to prevent overlapping as much as possible:
* Research—surveys, assessment, statistics, theories, overviews
* Teaching and learning—methods, strategies, models, one-on-one, classes, or virtual delivery
* Electronic information and delivery—collection development, e-books, databases, web technology
* Administration and support services—program development, ILL, document delivery
* Collaboration—librarian, faculty, consortia or other
DROP-IN DISCUSSION GROUPS
After you have registered you may want to participate in the Wednesday afternoon Drop-In Discussion sessions. Each informal group will share information, network and solve common problems about specific topics. There will be a special session from the Distance Learning Section of ACRL concerning the revision of the Guidelines for Distance Learning Library Services and a special panel session about copyright.
