Q. What is considered appropriate dress for this conference?
A. Business casual with the emphasis on casual. Temperatures in Savannah in April
range from a high of 78 °F to as low as 54 ° F.
Q. What meals are included with registration?
A. All meals starting with the Wednesday night reception through Friday noon are
included with the exception of the Thursday evening meal.
Q. Will there be vegetarian dishes included with the buffet meals?
A. Yes. We try to have a sufficient number of vegetarian entrees.
Q. I have special dietary needs. Should I contact someone?
A. Contact the Conference Coordinator, Connie Hildebrand and she will notify the hotel
chefs. Email connie.hildebrand@cmich.edu
Q. What is a Dine-Out?
A. A Dine-Out is the best way to make friends and network among your peers. They
will be held on Thursday evening April 27, 2006. Simply sign up for a restaurant
which appeals to your food tastes and pocketbook. You will be part of a group dining
together.
Q. Where can I find things to do in Savannah?
A. Several events have been planned for librarian groups on Friday and Saturday. If
these do not interest you, see the hotel concierge. Savannah has many historic
attractions, activities such as fishing, and local entertainment.
Q. May I register for only one day of the conference?
A. Since the conference lasts only two days we do not have a one day registration.
Q. How can someone reach me in case of an emergency?
A. Leave the Savannah Hyatt Regency Hotel number 912-238-1234 with your family or
friends so they can reach you in an emergency.
Q. I have a limited budget and would like to share a room with another librarian. Can
you suggest someone?
A. The conference has a Roommate Referral Service. Simply submit your name and you
will receive a list of participants who are interested in sharing a room.
