General Information

  • Programs are 55 minutes in length.  Please allow about 10 minutes for questions after your presentation.   
  •  An assigned host or hostess will help you set up, briefly introduce you and help you end on time. 
  • Evaluation forms will be collected by the host/hostess to give you audience feedback.
  • Handouts will be placed on the web so that potential attendees to your session can print them ahead of time.   E-mail Connie Hildebrand by April 10, 2006.
  • Your presentation room will be displayed under your name on the website conference program.
  • Each conference room will be equipped with a laptop and a LCD projector, the latest version of Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox and PowerPoint.  Rooms are equipped with microphones and internet acces is available on request.  Dan Gall will be the audio/visual contact person.  Please fill out the Audio Visual Request Form and tell him exactly what type of equipment you will need.   
  • At the conference, each attendee receives the proceedings of the conference.    It is important to  be as accurate as possible when writing your paper because they will also be published by Haworth Press.  You will be contacted if there are inaccuracies.  The Guidelines for Preparing Manuscripts must be followed closely.  Alter your proposal abstract to reflect your final paper and be sure to include a professional bibliography.  Additional help for writing the paper will be available here on the conference web site in August .
  • Poster Sessions will occur concurrently and will last 55 minutes.  They should be loaded onto the computer before the conference.  See the Audio Visual Request Form for more information.  An abstract is required for the proceedings.  Follow the Guidelines for Preparing Manuscripts.   • Conference registration and room reservation forms will be available December 2005 on the conference website http://ocls.cmich.edu/conference
