Stefanie is currently the librarian for extended education and summer programs at Western Washington University. Prior to coming to Western, she worked for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Library Program traveling around the United States installing computers in public libraries.
Ramona Islam chairs the ACRL Distance Learning Section Instruction Committee. At Fairfield University, she teaches information literacy and library research classes for distance learners by way of synchronous Web meetings, site visitations, and asynchronous tutorials. Ms. Islam, designer of the popular “Plagiarism Court” tutorial, participated in “Project Lead,” a workshop geared to improving library services in distance learning education.
Darby’s current position as Campus Librarian, on the Florida State University, Panama City Campus began in 2003. Being the first FSU librarian on the Panama City Campus has given Darby the opportunity to develop, promote, and assess FSU library services while also maintaining her passion for public service and teaching librarianship. She is currently a member of the ACRL Distance Learning Section Instruction Committee, has recently founded the ACRL Regional Campus Libraries Discussion Group, and is a Public Services Quarterly column editor.
Michele is Off-Campus Services Librarian at Western Michigan University. She has been working with off-campus services for approximately four years. She served two terms as a member of the ACRL DLS Instruction Committee which developed this survey and published the results in a SPEC kit.
